This morning I drove over Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, Texas, to watch the implosion of the west grandstand of Amon Carter Stadium. Hundreds of people gathered behind barricades hundreds of meters from the stadium. Even at that distance, the explosions were impressive. There were several explosions, each boom sounding deep and dangerous. Following the explosions, a few seconds of … nothing. No noise, no smoke, no movement. Then, suddenly, like a loaf of bread falling apart, from right to left, the grand stand crashed to the ground.
