A West Texas dust devil.  A common sight on the high plains– Llano Estacado– of Texas.  For city folks, not so much.  Looks like a tornado, but a common cotton field dust devil is much less powerful.  Basically, just a whirlwind that lasts a few seconds, maybe a minute.  I am told that there are really big dust devils in the deserts of Arizona.
