A few weeks ago, I took my mother (almost 90 years old) to the Perot Museum in Dallas. This was the first visit for either of us to this museum. I came away with mixed feelings about the place. The building’s exterior is, well, ugly– like a mashup of leftover parts from other buildings. From a distance, the texture of the exterior walls appears to be peeling paint. The inside is not awful and the staff is helpful if you ask for directions, but the layout could be clearer and don’t expect staff to proactively offer assistance for an almost 90 year old visitor.
Mother and I enjoyed the impressive dinosaur exhibits. We were less interested in the energy and biology exhibits. All in all, the place is colorful and loud (kids running around!), and we can hope that things will improve over time.
