Hard to believe that this 21st century metropolis began as a rough-hewn fort, one of a series of frontier forts, proposed in January 1849 by U.S. Army General William Jenkins Worth. Fort Worth was officially named on November 14, 1849, and today has a population of population exceeding 535,000. Fort Worth photographer Maria leveraged the lines in this photo to convey the 21st century order and strength of this former frontier fort. This photo was taken at 819 Taylor St, Fort Worth, TX. Thank you Maria for allowing “We’ll See!” to post your pic.
