Dodson Prairie.

Dodson Prairie is a prairie, the ruins of a petro station, and St. Boniface Catholic church, on Highway 80, about six miles west of Palo Pinto, Texas.  Dodson Prairie boundaries are vague, and it is fair to say that the place almost doesn’t exist.

About admin

Born in Ohio, raised in Texas, and spent time in parts between. I enjoy exploring precincts near and far. I took all the photographs in this website, although most of them I took earlier than the date posted. If anyone browsing this site is encouraged to further explore their own backyard or beyond, that’s good enough for me.

My family, Nowaks and Holubs are from Dodson Prairie, we still have the family farm. I still love to go there and remember days gone by. Most of the residents are about 100 yards south of the church in the Dodson Prairie cemetry. I know quite a lot about the area and the families past and present. Your are welcome to e-mail with any questions.

    Thanks, Dino Lewis
