Dodson Prairie is a prairie, the ruins of a petro station, and St. Boniface Catholic church, on Highway 80, about six miles west of Palo Pinto, Texas. Dodson Prairie boundaries are vague, and it is fair to say that the place almost doesn’t exist.

My family, Nowaks and Holubs are from Dodson Prairie, we still have the family farm. I still love to go there and remember days gone by. Most of the residents are about 100 yards south of the church in the Dodson Prairie cemetry. I know quite a lot about the area and the families past and present.
