I met this peach of a beauty in Weatherford, Texas, at their annual Peach Festival. I introduced myself to Shanda and said that a hat like hers cannot pass by without being photographed. Beautiful hair, too.
Weatherford is in Parker County, about 30 miles west of Fort Worth and is home to about 19,000 folks. Weatherford is perhaps most famous for Mary Martin, the star of Peter Pan in the 1950s. Mary Martin’s son Larry Hagman also grew up in Weatherford. He is best known for playing the role of J.R. Ewing in the 1980s TV series “Dallas”.
